Jim Meads Photography

     We have been very honored to have English photographer, Jim Meads, join us on numerous occasions to photograph our hunt's activities. Jim has been a renowned sporting photographer since age 19. He wrote and illustrated a weekly column for Horse &Hound magazine for many years, as well as Hounds magazine, Bailey’s Hunting Directory, Horse Country, and innumerable other publications. He has featured our Hunt in many of these, as well as in books authored by others, but using his vast source of hunt photography. He has been unbelievably supportive of our Club.

    Jim Meads is a Royal Photographer for HRH Prince Charles, annually taking their family portraits at Highgrove House in Wales since 1977. Additionally, he has photographed Prince Charles and his boys, as well as Jackie Onassis, out hunting , —and later shared tea with her!

    Jim has photographed 487 different packs of hounds in his lifetime, and has photographed Misty Morning Hounds on four previous occasions. Jim Meads’ 5th full-color book, Going Home, featuring Hunts from all over the world, was released in October, 2008. We are very proud that Jim selected a photo of our Hunt as his cover shot—an ultimate honor for any Hunt! And this is especially exciting because it is the first American pack he has featured on the cover of one of his books. We are very excited to have 7 photographs (plus the cover shot!) in Going Home, as well as 6 photographs in his previous book, In Full Cry.
